Supervisor's Guide to HR Best Practices

All supervisors and managers play a crucial role in implementing and upholding human resource (HR) best practices. This class is designed to equip those not in human resources with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate HR challenges effectively while fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Participants will look into multiple HR areas such as interviewing and what questions they can and cannot ask legally, employee leave, performance management, employee relations, legal compliance in multiple areas, disciplinary action and more. This class will combine interactive lectures, case studies, group discussions and even role play to learn effective management techniques that comply with HR laws and policy guidelines.

Participants will be given a comprehensive guide to understand their responsibility in effectively managing employees and mitigating HR risks.

  • Eventbrite Service Fee: Non-refundable under all circumstances.

  • Employer's Network Cancellations: If Employers Network cancels the class for any reason, your ticket can be transferred to any class of your choice of equal value.

  • No-Show Policy: Registered participants who do not attend the class ("no-shows") will be charged the full class cost. No-show fees cannot be used as credit for any future Employers Network class, event, or service.

  • Cancellation Window: Cancellations made less than 10 business days prior to the class start will be charged the full class cost. This fee may not be used as credit for future Employers Network classes, events, or services. However, substitutions are welcome.

  • Real-Time Event Changes: Employers Network reserves the right to make real-time changes to event content or offerings as necessary. In such cases, no refunds, partial refunds, or alternative offers will be made beyond the terms stated in this cancellation policy.
